Founder, President & CEO of Forman Mills, Inc.
Rick Forman's entrepreneurial instincts, creative vision, and personal drive have taken his business concept from a flea market table to a $250 million dollar retail operation.
With an $80 loan from his Father, Mr. Forman began his retail career in 1977, selling T-shirts, sweatshirts and sportswear at deeply discounted prices to working-class customers in flea markets in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With an unwavering focus on product, price and promotion Mr. Forman grew the business rapidly. He honed his negotiating skills, and developed an uncommon knack for identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for business growth.
While attending Rutgers University in the early 1980's, he formed alliances with veteran retail professionals, incorporated their expertise, and further developed the foundation for what would become Forman Mills.
