About Us
For more than 60 years, Appel Farm has delivered transformative arts and learning experiences as the arts education leader in South Jersey. Founded in 1960 by Albert and Clare Appel, Appel Farm Arts Camp was born out of a belief that all children have artistic talent and need a supportive environment in which to learn, create, make mistakes, and grow.
The organization was incorporated in 1978 as a non-profit charitable and educational organization. Now in its seventh decade and with a budget of $2.8M, Appel Farm has evolved into a multidisciplinary regional arts center, offering year-round programs that build on the Appel’s founding principles and apply the arts as a tool for education, personal growth, and more.
The organization serves more than 30,000 people annually, providing opportunities for people to explore the arts, strengthen community, and find joy.
