South Pacific Island Dancers

About

South Pacific Island Dancers is the Tri-State Area’s original, largest, and longest-running full-service Polynesian entertainment company — proudly leading the way in live luau entertainment and Polynesian dance education for over 40 consecutive years.

Founded in 1982 by High Chief Sikopu “Scope” Savaiinaea-Ulugia and his beloved late wife Colleen Savaiinaea, our company is rooted in deep cultural tradition and family legacy. Hailing from the village of Falefa in beautiful Western Samoa, we are a proud native Polynesian family committed to preserving and sharing the rich heritage of the South Pacific.

Now in our second generation of leadership, the South Pacific Island Dancers remains 100% family-owned and operated, proudly led by the founders’ eldest daughter, Katie Savaiinaea-Elisaia. Under Katie’s direction, the company continues to uphold its longstanding reputation for authenticity, excellence, and heartfelt cultural storytelling — all while expanding its reach across the Tri-State Area, the East Coast, and beyond.
