1166 Federal Credit Union (1166 FCU) is proud to participate in CU Kind Day 2024, observed Monday, October 14. CU Kind Day is a collaborative effort designed for credit union employees, members, partners, and volunteers to spread kindness through various community projects. 

To address the growing hunger crisis in its communities, 1166 FCU will participate in a joint food drive with other local credit unions, including First Harvest, EdiFi, and Affinity FCU. Community members are invited to fill the donation boxes at their locations from October 1 to November 8. To contribute at 1166 FCU, visit the office at 95 Woodstown Rd Unit C, Swedesboro, NJ 08085.

All contributions will be donated to local food pantries and kitchens. Suggestions include: 

Canned meat, fish, chicken, soup, stew, fruit, vegetables, and beans (pop-top cans are a plus)

Peanut butter

Jelly

Brown rice

Whole grain pasta 

Applesauce and fruit cups

Cooking oils

Dried herbs and spices

Dried fruit

Granola bars

Instant mashed potatoes

Nuts

Shelf-stable and powdered milk

Whole grain cereal

Oatmeal

Pancake mix

Mac & cheese packages

Packaged cookies

Unopened toiletries (toothpaste, deodorant, feminine hygiene products) 

Other nonperishable items 

Excluded donations include items that are expired, unlabeled, damaged, opened, stored in glass containers, or require refrigeration, and we cannot accept home-baked goods or leftovers.
